IOT Device Dashboard

Crestron is the world's leading innovator and manufacturer of advanced control and automation systems for the office, campus, and home, reinventing the way people live and work.

As part of their product offering Crestron was excited to add a dashboard to track and monitor its customers' devices / SLAs.

During our initial discussion with the technical director, Our team documented the business requirements and started working on the technical discovery.

Solution

Our initial goal was to build a data pipeline which made API calls to the Crestron system using Python code and Azure functions. This enabled us to collect the data in a database and transform the data before ingesting it into Power BI.

After achieving our primary goal we worked on designing a beautiful & functional Dashboard which served as the front end for Crestron customers and integrators

Outcomes

• Developed a beautiful dashboard for Crestron customers & integrators. This was presented to Crestron’s end customers during tender negotiations

• Automated data pipelines allowed Crestron to provide historical data trends and SLA monitoring

• The final product was added to its product offering allowing it’s proposals to be more competitive
